$100/quarter for class only, or included with full Kanack tuition
For adults basic to advanced skill on their instruments. We learn bluegrass songs by ear, play at various tempos, arrange songs, improvise over chord changes, and learn some practical music theory. Only part of each class is lead by the teacher; students independently rehearse themselves and sometimes meet outside of class time to jam. Students are divided into smaller performance groups of similar playing level. They have input into song selection, arrangement and performance opportunities. Students perform a "gig" at the end of each semester in the community.
